Meet Becs

Rebecca Walton – Health Psychologist

Becs has joined the Nurture and Thrive team as an Intern Psychologist through Victoria’s
Health Psychology programme (having just completed her master’s in health psychology). She’s passionate about working in this area and brings a wealth of experience, having worked in health and disability community organisations for many years. Becs has two daughters, both of whom have ADHD, and one has Autism. Becs has a fun-loving, compassionate nature and is keen to work alongside individuals and whānau to help them achieve health and well-being goals.

“I love working from an approach that combines both psychology and health-related
strategies to build well-being. I believe there is a lot of scope to work more holistically in this space”.

Outside of N&T, Becs loves mountain biking, hiking, and walking her 3 dogs. She’s up for adventure and enters regularly into adventure races. She loves being outdoors and
connecting with nature. She also enjoys yoga and swimming in the ocean (if it’s not too
cold!).
